Travel makes us feel one with nature and with each other. It gives us time to see and absorb the wonders of nature. The calming effect on our body and mind when one with nature is indescribable. Learning through teamwork:

‘My’ is replaced by ‘We’ and a sense of belonging, responsibility towards others, and teamwork is naturally felt. Students who travel with their schools learn team management and leadership skills in a unique way. They learn that not everyone will always get along, but they learn how to work with people they don’t get along with to make the trip enjoyable. They learn that people they may not have thought they would get along with actually turn out to become great friends. They also learn how to move and work together as a group to accomplish a goal, even one as simple as getting to the next destination.

When students travel, no matter how shy they are, they have to learn to stick together as a group and talk to others to get to where they need to go. When traveling to new places you get to come out of your own shell to explore what is happening out of your comfort zone. When students have to rely on each other, their teachers, their group leaders, and the locals in order to get around properly, it can do wonders to improve those social skills.

Learn tolerance and acceptance:

Developing patience to things not going as planned is an integral part of character education learnt through travelling. Experiencing new cultures and traditions enhance us as humans and make us more tolerant towards the differences. Depending on others and becoming socially adaptable and adjustable is enriched through making new friends and bonding more with the existing ones.
